Dominican Republic money information

ATMs, Currency Exchanges and other banking services are located in Terminals One and Two near the exit from immigration and also in the baggage claim area. 

Although many resorts in the Punta Cana region are all-inclusive or allow guests to sign for expenses, most visitors do exchange some currency. The Dominican Republic currency is the Dominican peso. The US dollar is also commonly accepted throughout the region. While it is unnecessary to tip at all-inclusive resorts, for exceptional service you may choose to leave a small gratuity.
