Protecting the Dominican Republic environment

Since 1969, Grupo Puntacana has provided corporate stewardship to protect the environmental beauty and vibrant culture that make this region a tropical paradise.

Opportunities to volunteer include marine biology and bird projects run by top universities. Other programs like "Read a Book, Leave a Book" and "Pack for a Purpose" allow guests to give back to the community.

In our community, we built the area's basic infrastructure including schools, water, electricity and health clinics. In 2007, we implemented an award-winning "zero waste" program. We are now one of the largest recycling centers in the Dominican Republic, with door-to-door segregated waste and on-site composting.

The 1500 acre Puntacana Ecological Reserve is one of the largest private land conservations in the Dominican Republic.
