IMMIGRATION

To enter the Dominican Republic, a valid passport with two blank pages is required. President of the Dominican Republic issued Executive Order 430-17 which mandates incorporating the tourist card fee of US$10 into the airfare cost. As of April 2018, the Dominican Republic tourist card entry fees are incorporated into airfare.

This means that the fee for entry into the country which was previously paid upon arrival at the airport will now be included in your airline ticket. By Dominican law, there’s also a US$20 departure tax, the cost of which is usually included in your airfare (verify with your carrier). Airport Special Security (CESAC) follows but is not limited to TSA guidelines.

NURSING ROOM

NURSING ROOM

We all know travelling with a baby can have its challenges, so when you find a comfortable space for breastfeeding in the airport, it can really improve your travel experience. This is why Punta Cana International Airport has joined a growing list of airports with special spaces designed for nursing moms.

We recently opened a Mother’s Room in Terminal A, called “Sala de Lactancia”, which includes comfortable seating, an end table, a changing table and conveniently placed electrical outlets, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy airport. We all play a significant role in supporting breastfeeding!
